The Crisis in the Amazon

Motive Power is committed to giving back and motivating those around us to act. The crisis in the Amazon is unprecedented and the need for action is urgent. Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research has reported a recent 84% increase in forest fires from the same period in 2018. The Amazon is also threatened by deforestation, cattle farmers, dams, and illegal mining.

These organizations are all working to save and conserve the Amazon through partnerships, legal resources, securing land rights, land acquisition, research and training to name a few. We encourage folks to educate themselves, donate if they can and implement one action from the Rainforest Foundations article.
