Our Mission

About Us

The NPUC is a collaborative body of industry experts coming together to solve decarbonization challenges in the power sector. They bring innovative and realistic carbon-free solutions, spanning our entire country and its disparate geographical, socio-economic, regulatory, technological, and financial challenges.

Our public utility system, a product of the industrial revolution, is ideally suited to revolutionize how we power our society. The NPUC is poised to lead the utility industry in a carbon-free revolution, as only this remarkable industry can, with great vision, empathy, and execution.

Our Partners

Motive Power, Zpryme, and numerous utilities across the US, with media support from Visual Capitalist, are poised to become the leading experts in public utility decarbonization efforts.

What We Do

Annual Utility Decarbonization Report

In partnership with data-driven media company Visual Capitalist, NPUC embarked on a journey to create the world’s first annual utility decarbonization progress report targeting utilities, investors, governments, and the general public to drive the climate conversation forward every year.

Bi-Annual Benchmarking

NPUC works with market research company Zpryme to produce benchmarking reports. So far, they have published 3 reports, including Utility Decarbonization has an Air of Uncertainty, Progress and Pitfalls on the Road to Net Zero, and Utility Decarbonization Practices.

Bi-monthly Roundtable Discussions

NPUC holds bi-monthly roundtable discussions with major utilities spanning the United States to facilitate an open discussion about their decarbonization goals and the road to a net-zero future.

Conferences

In collaboration with industry leaders and climate change experts, NPUC regularly presents their ideas at major conferences across the country.

Sponsorships

NPUC has also been a significant supporter of the Edison Energy Institute and the Energy Thought Summit, both of whom are committed to finding utility-first solutions to decarbonization roadblocks and obstacles.
