Analyst ( Management Analyst )


  • Create and maintain logic-driven, resource-loaded schedules in Microsoft (MS) Project software to define tasks, utilize work
    breakdown structures, assign predecessors/successors, level resources, set baselines and measure progress
  • Meet with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objective
  • Support delivery leads in defining business solutions, such as implementing process improvement or project controls techniques,
    depending on the client’s specific needs
  • Divide projects into doable actions and set timeframes for completion by utilizing critical path analysis
  • Track project metrics against the approved MS Project schedule(s) by performing daily and weekly schedule reviews; identify risks
    and communicate updates to stakeholders by creating status reports
  • Develop and maintain an internal scorecard system (tool measuring each project lead’s performance across 12 metrics, which
    informs leadership’s strategic action plans)
  • Perform project quality reviews for ongoing projects (assessing whether a project plan and its execution meet an acceptable
    business standard, to increase the overall quality of project delivery)
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve internal processes, such as the company’s invoicing process by using value
    stream mapping and root cause analysis
  • Produce deliverables as directed by leadership in alignment with each engagement’s MS Project plan and Statement of Work.
    Areas include:
  • Reporting Deliverables (Scheduling): Publish reports daily, weekly, and monthly; perform quality analysis, troubleshoot and
    correct direct reporting issues, and validate completion of milestones
  • Analysis: Update monthly analytic reports, and train clients to use reports to measure progress. Compile data from various
    financial and performance tracking reports to build complex data trends to analyze the organization’s performance,
    productivity, and quality of projects
  • Risk Management: Facilitate risk assessments by performing gap analyses, populating the risk matrix, communicating risk
    impacts to leadership, and creating risk mitigation and controls. Update the risk dashboard, which displays a comprehensive
    view of all project-based risks, along with the necessary indicative attributes, grouped and sorted by: probability, impact, risk
    owner, geographical region, and type
  • Contract Change Management: Meet with Project Managers on daily basis to validate data in various tools, such as the contract
    detail plan tool, perform descriptive analysis, and create reports used by the client to support change management initiatives, such
    as deploying new procedures and processes after a merger or acquisition
  • Create visual dashboards and graphs to report to core and extended team members, ensuring all applicable cross-functional
    personnel are informed on the project status and their responsibilities
  • Maintain minutes, action registers, risk logs, and manage milestones
  • Perform cost analysis to check project compliance with budget adherence and provide predictive and reactive performance data,
    including: progress, headcount, performance drivers, financial and non-financial metrics, business objectives, and targets to
    provide the Project Management Office leadership insights to make strategic decisions for the programs
  • Support leadership in identifying, resolving, and tracking issues, such as scope creep, budget variance, and schedule variance
  • Ensure clients’ goals are met as projects evolve by calculating the cost performance index and scheduler performance index
  • Act as the clients’ point of contact for projects, create communication management plans, and communicate project status to all
  • Create procedure manuals and user job aids

HOURS: Forty (40) hours per week

HOURLY WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


  1. Must have MBA
  2. Must have: 1 year of experience as a QA Test Analyst or related position; experience coordinating project management
    activities, resources, equipment and information in a software, engineering, construction, or government environment; experience
    communicating project status and maintaining project schedules; ability to break down complex business information and apply
    rational planning for sound business decisions
  3. Background checks will be conducted
  4. Occasional visits to client sites and/or other Motive Power offices (approximately 15% of work time)
